Chapter 20: The Unexpected
Sora was inside the lift, waiting for it to arrive on her floor. She leaned against the wall, thinking about what happened at dinner. The more she thought about it, the more tired she felt. When she arrived on her floor, the lift doors opened and she heard a familiar voice in front of her, "Now who's the one making my Baby Princess upset?"
Sora looked up and saw Park Jungsu standing in front of her door with his hands in his back pockets. She was surprised to see him there at that time of hour and it was the first time that she's seen him wearing casually with a pair of jeans and a plain white tank-top under a blue linen checkered shirt.
"Omo, what are you doing here, oppa? Isn't it a bit late?" Sora asked.
"Didn't you receive my message? I asked you to call me when you see it," said Park Jungsu, who walked up to her.
"Message?" Sora said. Then she started to search inside her handbag and finally realized that her phone was gone. "Aish...I must have left it either at the restaurant or in my parents' car," she said. She was too tired to think about it and just entered her passcode to her home entrance. "Do you want to come in, oppa?" she asked.
"Don't mind if I do," he said while already halfway through the door.
Sora smiled while shaking her head.
When they got inside, Sora headed into her open kitchen and asked, "Do you want something to drink, oppa? Coffee or tea?" She had her back turned as she looked into her fridge. "Actually, there's cold water too if you want something light," she added.
Suddenly, she felt his firm arms wrapping around her waist and leaning his chin on her shoulders. Then in a soft voice, he said, "I'll have whatever you give me."
Sora smiled, then placed her hands on his arms and said excitedly, "Jinjja!?"
By the way she reacted, Park Jungsu started to regret saying what he had just said. Sora loosened herself from his embrace and headed to the storage room next to the kitchen and came out with a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses. "Let's have a drink together then, shall we?" she said happily.
Park Jungsu's faced looked worried and said, "Uh...but Sora-ah...I'm...I'm not good with alcoh--"
“Oh come on, oppa! You said you’ll have whatever I give you. Are you going back on your words now?” said Sora, who started to put on a pouting face.
Park Jungsu saw the look on her face and reluctantly gives in. “Arasso…arasso…I guess one or two glasses should be fine,” he said to her.
Sora opened the bottle of red wine and poured it into a wine flask to let it breathe for a bit. “Take a seat first, oppa. I’ll be right back,” said Sora, who then went inside her room to get changed.
Park Jungsu sat on one of the sofas in the living room and looked around Sora’s home. Then he saw a photo of Sora and her family on the side of the television stand. When he was about to take a closer look, the door from Sora’s room opened and he shifted his attention back to Sora as she returned from changing. When he saw her, he’d wish he hadn’t as she was wearing a light pink spaghetti strap tank top and a pair of jean shorts. The shorts were so short that it fully displayed the beautiful contours of her long legs. To Park Jungsu, they are like a pair of goddess’ legs that shouldn’t be seen by mankind or else they might end up in the hospital from major blood loss.
He gulped as Sora walked over with the wine flask and glasses in her hands. She knelt on her soft carpet and placed the flask and glasses on the coffee table. Sora took a sniff of the red wine and said with a smile, “Mmm…smells nice. Would you like to take a sniff, oppa?” She turned around and looked at Park Jungsu with the wine flask in her hand. Then she noticed the redness on his face as he kept his eyes on her.
“Oppa, are you okay? Your face is all red when we haven’t even started drinking yet,” said Sora. She placed her hand on his hand then on his cheeks. “Omo, your face is burning, oppa,” she said.
At that instant, Park Jungsu quickly snatched the wine flask from Sora’s hand and hurriedly poured himself a full glass of red wine. He chucked it all down in one go.
Sora looked at him with her mouth dropped open. “Jungsu-ssi…” she said.
Park Jungsu was trying to catch his breath from that one go and then said, “I’m alright. I was just feeling a bit hot, that’s all. I’m fine n—”
Right at that moment, the heat in him began to rise again. This time, his eyes wondered into the restricted area – somewhere he shouldn’t be looking. He couldn’t help himself as the angle was just right – he was on the sofa and she was kneeling on the floor with spaghetti strap tank top that has a slightly low cut to it. He tried to look away, but no matter how hard he tried, his eyes just naturally wondered back to the restricted area.
Sora obliviously looking at Park Jungsu and asked, “Are you okay, oppa?”
Park Jungsu finally manages to pull himself together and shuts his eyes tight. He then said, “Ne…I’m fine, I just have to stop looking at you.”
“Stop looking at me? Wae-yo? Is there something wrong with me?” Sora asked as she looked at her own body.
“Why don’t you put this on, Sora-ah,” said Park Jungsu as he takes off his shirt and placed it over Sora’s shoulders.
Sora stood up and said, “But, I’m not cold, oppa,” as she attempts to remove his shirt from her shoulders.
Park Jungsu got up to stop her and insistently said, “Ani Sora-ah, it is best if you put it on.”
“Yah! Park Jungsu-ssi! Why are you acting weird all of a sudden? I don’t want to wear this” said Sora who again attempts to remove his shirt from her shoulders.
“I’m not acting weird! Come on and just put this on!” said Park Jungsu while the both of them began to struggle with each other.
As push comes to shove, it was inevitable for the both of them as they fell onto the sofa with Sora landing on top of Park Jungsu. It was as if looking at her restricted area was not enough – this time, he can feel her chest pressed against his which sent his blood pumping to everywhere in his body.
Sora, on the other hand can feel his firm chest underneath hers which got her heart racing like crazy. They both looked into each other’s eyes with their faces both blushing red.
Park Jungsu gulped as he stares deeply into Sora’s eyes while Sora tries her best to avoid his gaze and said, “I…I…told you that I don’t want to wear this…”
Sora tried to pull herself up by pressing on his chest with her hand, but Park Jungsu grabbed hold of her hand and softly said, “Sora-ah…” while tucking her slightly loosed hair behind her ear with his other hand. “Stay here with m—”
Just before he can finish his sentence, the door to Sora’s home suddenly opened and both of them quickly looked at the front door’s direction.
“Eomma!” Sora cried out.
“Omo! Sora-ah! Mianhe, I didn’t know you have someone over. You left your phone in the car so I just wanted to drop it off here,” her mother explained while turning around and had her back facing them. “I should be on my way. Please continue with whatever you two were doing.”
“Ani, eomma….It’s not what you think,” said Sora as she and Park Jungsu stood up from the sofa.
Sora’s mother turned around and looked at them both. She then looked at the man her daughter brought home. “Park Jungsu-ssi?” she said.
Park Jungsu looked over to Sora’s mother. It took him a few seconds to recall her face and said, “Ma’am?” He glanced between Sora and her mother and said, “Sora is your daughter? The one you wanted to introduce me to?”
Sora was also glancing back and forth between Park Jungsu and her mother. “Wait a minute. Both of you met before?” Sora asked then looked at her mother, “you mean Jungsu-ssi was the person you mentioned earlier at dinner?”
Her mother nodded and said, “Ne…the one I said who has a girlfriend.”
Sora looked at Park Jungsu and asked, “You have a girlfriend?”
“Huh? Aniya aniya! I mean...yes, I do,” Park Jungsu stuttered.
“You do?” cried Sora.
“Aniya! That’s not what I mean! What I meant was yes, I do have a girlfriend and that person is you! You’re my girlfriend!” he said.
His statement brought the place into dead silence. The three of them stood in the living room and glanced at one another.
After a few seconds, Sora's mother broke the silence and asked, "Sora-ah, why didn’t you tell me you've got a boyfriend?"
"Well, it's because we only started not so long ago...so we're still getting to know each other" said Sora.
Park Jungsu looked at Sora with a what do you mean? look on his face.
Her mother raised her eyebrows and said cheekily, "Mmhmm...and you both were trying to know each other more before I came in, correct?"
"Eomma!" said Sora, who was shocked and embarrassed by what her very own mother had just said.
"It's not like that Ma'am," said Park Jungsu eagerly while waving his hands in denial.
"Oh Park Jungsu-ssi, please don't address me like that," said Sora's mother.
Park Jungsu rubbed his hands together nervously as he didn't know how to react and said, "Forgive me, Mrs. Kang."
"No, don't call me that either," said Sora's mother as she gave him a weird look.
This made the situation more awkward as Park Jungsu doesn't know how else to address Sora's mother. Sora saw the situation and stepped in and said, "Eomma! Why are you making this difficult for Jungsu-ssi?" Then she turned to Park Jungsu and said, "Mrs. Kang will be fine, Jungsu-ssi."
"I prefer him calling me eomoni instead,” said her mother.
Sora was dumbfounded and said, “But eomma…”
“No buts Sora-ah! You, my dear should be calling him oppa instead since you are his girlfriend!" said Sora's mother who looked at Park Jungsu with a happy smile.
Park Jungsu smiled back and was glad that Sora’s mother accepted him wholeheartedly.
Sora’s mother walked over to Park Jungsu and said while placing her hand on his, “Jungsu-ssi, if our Sora ever treats you badly, you let me know and I’ll take care of the rest.”
Sora’s mother was totally in favour of Park Jungsu, to which he acceptingly said with a smile, “Ne, eomoni.”
“Eomma, how can you be biased like that?” said Sora who was surprised to see how her mother was already taking Park Jungsu’s side.
“Why shouldn’t I be? This man got injured trying to save his girlfriend and you of all people should know very well who that girlfriend of his is. You should be lucky and grateful to have such a brave and handsome young man as your boyfriend!” her mother said to her.
“Sora-ah, eomoni’s right. It’s not every day that you can find someone like me to be your boyfriend,” added Park Jungsu who was totally taking advantage of the situation to praise himself.
Sora was in disbelieved as her eyes widened as her jaw dropped. “Yah! Park Jungsu! Don’t get all over yourself! Do you want to end our relationship now?” Sora threatened to which Park Jungsu quickly stopped.
“Don’t speak nonsense, Sora-ah! You know very well that it takes you ages to find a boyfriend,” said Sora’s mother.
Park Jungsu turned and looked at Mrs. Kang and said, “Jjinja, eomoni?”
“Ne…That’s why I am so glad that she has finally found a boyfriend like you, Jungsu-ssi,” Sora’s mother replied.
“Eomma, that’s because I’m too busy with work. If I wanted to, there are many guys lining up to date me,” Sora defended.
“Sora-ah, you’re just kidding about that, right?” Park Jungsu asked anxiously.
Sora’s mother quickly sighed and said, “I hate to say this, but it’s true, Jungsu-ssi…Not that I’m trying to praise my own daughter or anything, but there are actually many men who wanted to date my Sora-ah. I think it was last year, that a man kept bringing food from five-stars restaurants to her office so that she would eat on time and not miss out on meals with her busy work. The man did that to court our Sora-ah.”
Although, Park Jungsu tried his best to hide his burning jealousy and uneasiness inside, but it was all written on his face to which he then murmured, “I bet that guy’s probably fat and ugly.”
Sora saw and heard what he said, to which she said, “Oppa, are you alright? You’re not jealous are you?”
Park Jungsu snorted and said to Sora’s remark, “Me? Jealous? Of course not! Why would I be?”
“Don’t worry, Jungsu-ssi. It was all in the past and Sora-ah had kindly rejected him. So she’s all yours now,” her mother said to Park Jungsu with a wink followed by a smile.
“Gomawo, eomoni. I will take good care of her from now on,” said Park Jungsu happily.
However, the happy moment was short lived until Sora said, “Eomma, that’s only true if appa agrees to it — which I highly doubt since he is so keen on making Minho-ssi his ‘ideal’ son-in-law.”
“Son-in-law?” said Park Jungsu, who looked upset from what he just heard.
“You’re right, Sora-ah. Your appa is one stubborn man. Once he puts his heart to it, he won’t stop,” said Sora’s mother, who looked at both Sora and Park Jungsu.
“That’s exactly it, eomma! Appa is just so keen on the idea of making his best friend’s son as his son-in-law — to whom I have no feelings for—that he would even sacrifice my happiness from being with someone else,” Sora stated while looking at Park Jungsu.
From that very moment she looked at him and said her ‘happiness from being with someone else’, Park Jungsu was closer to being more assured that Sora only has him in her heart. His heart was filled with content after she had said that, to which he just remained silent and looked at her with love.
“Don’t worry about that now, Sora-ah. You just focus on being with Jungsu-ssi and I’ll take care of your appa. After all, you are his only daughter and I’m sure he won’t go to that extent to actually sacrifice your happiness for his own desire. So the both of you just enjoy your time together right now,” said Sora’s mother, who then took both their hands and put them together — reassuring them that things are going to be fine.
From her mother’s reassurance, Sora eyes began to tear up as she hugged her mother and said, “Eomma, gomawo.”
“Alright Sora-ah, just leave it to eomma, arasso?” said Sora’s mother, who then pushed Sora away, “It’s getting late now. I better head back before your appa comes and finds me here.”
“Eomoni, do you need a ride back? I can drive you home,” Park Jungsu offered sincerely.
Sora’s mother turned to Park Jungsu and said, “It’s alright, Jungsu-ssi, my car is just downstairs. Thank you though. Please take good care of our Sora-ah and I’ll see you around, arasso?”
Park Jungsu smiled and agreed to Mrs. Kang’s request. “Ne, eomoni.”
Then she turned to Sora and whispered, “See what a gentleman he is? Where would you find someone like that, with good looks and nice arms like those?” Her mother eyed over at Park Jungsu who only had his white tank top on, showcasing his nicely toned arms.
“Eomma...!” Sora said with embarrassment.
After biding goodbye, Sora sent her mother out and the two were left alone again in the living room.
“Your mother’s really cute and sweet. You should be more like her,” said Park Jungsu.
Sora smiled while looking at him and said, “If that’s the case, feel free to find someone else who is then.”
At that instant, the anxiousness in Park Jungsu exploded within as he quickly said, “Aniya! That’s not what I meant, Sora-ah. You and your eomoni are cute and sweet in each of your own way.”
“But just a moment ago, you said I should be more like my mother,” Sora teasingly said.
“Ani! Ani!” Park Jungsu said as he reached for Sora’s hand and placed it on the left side of his chest. “I love you just the way you are,” he said. That time, Park Jungsu looked sincerely at Sora.
Sora looked at him for a moment and suddenly burst into laughter as she said, “Oppa! You’re so adorable with that look on your face.”
“Waeyo? But I’m serious,” he said with a long-face.
Sora stopped laughing when she saw the look on his face. There she was, standing close to him with her hand still on his chest; feeling the strong heartbeat from his heart. With each thump that resonated from his heart made her heart raced. Both of them gazed into each other’s eyes as if they both have been longing for each other for a long while.
“Sora-ah…” Park Jungsu said softly as he pulled her closer with his other arm around her waist.
“Ne…?” she said as she placed her other hand on his arm.
Park Jungsu remained quiet. He slowly leaned in towards Sora with his eyes slightly closing while she remained still in his arms. She gradually closed her eyes as he got closer and closer — ready to succumb to whatever he was about to do. With her eyes closed, she could gradually sense the heat coming from his breath as he gently kissed her on her lips. He slightly pulled back and looked at Sora with gentleness before he gives her another kiss. This time, the kiss became more passionate than the first as Sora tilted her head to comfortably accept his kiss.
Soon, Park Jungsu began to gently caress her lips with his tongue — getting a taste of her sweet candy lips. As he continued to caress her lips, Sora reciprocated by parting her lips — allowing Park Jungsu to slip between them and progressed his soft caress inside her mouth. Both their tongues collided with one another as they both explored inside each other’s mouths.
The two could feel the heat surging through their bodies. Park Jungsu lifted Sora off her feet while both their lips were still passionately working and unwilling to part from each other.
Sora could feel the firmness in his broad shoulders as she held onto to him for a bit of support. She had her legs wrapped around his waist and Park Jungsu pulled her close to his groin — securing her position in his embrace. They were kissing so fervently that both were desperately gasping for air. The close proximity between them sent their bodies boiling inside.
Park Jungsu had both his hands on Sora’s hips while she had her hands on his face. Then he slowly slipped his hand underneath Sora’s spaghetti strap tank top, sending a tingling sensation up Sora’s back.
Just then, when Park Jungsu and Sora were at the hype of their moment — they were interrupted by the sound of a ringing phone. RING! RING!...RING! RING!
Park Jungsu growled annoyingly before he parted lips with Sora — irritated with the sudden disturbance of their moment. He then set Sora on top of the back panel of her sofa as he took out his mobile phone.
“Yeopseo!?” he picked up his phone angrily.
“Hello there! Are you stressed and having trouble with your credit card bills, loans and mortgages? If so, we can help! We can provide you with an interest rate as low as 5.5%. All you have to do is just call us at 1-800-321-6332,” a pre-recorded telemarketing voice message played over the phone.
Park Jungsu pulled his phone away from his ear and looked at it fiercely with his raging eyes. Sora saw the look on his face and asked with a concerned look on her face, “Oppa, are you alright? Who was it?”
Park Jungsu sighed heavily, trying to calm himself down. He swipes his phone screen with his fingers and then showed her a video version of the telemarketing ad on YouTube. As soon as Sora saw the video, she burst out into laughter while Park Jungsu remained silent with a sullen look on his face.
“Who the heck calls during this hour? Don’t they know it’s late? And it’s a pre-recorded telemarketing call too for crying out loud!” Park Jungsu said frustratingly.
Sora reached out her hand for Park Jungsu’s face and said teasingly, “Oppa, I think that was a sign to tell you that it’s late and you should be heading home now,” Sora said while laughing. Then she went over by the sofa and picked up his shirt that fell on the floor when they were pushing and shoving earlier. Sora tossed Park Jungsu back his shirt.
“Aniya, Sora-ah…Can’t I just stay a bit longer? I mean, we haven’t finished the wine yet,” Park Jungsu whined.
Sora chuckled and teasingly said, “But didn’t you say you’re not good with alcohol earlier? Besides, don’t you have work tomorrow?”
Park Jungsu stared at Sora and said, “Gwaenchanh-a, I can go in anytime. I am after all, the President and…”
“I know…I know…, you’re the President…and… CEO of Jung…Su…Entertainment,” she finished his sentence for him as she slowly walked towards him.
Sora threw her arms behind Park Jungsu’s neck as he places his hands on her hips. He pulled her closer and said, “Mmhmm…do you really?”
She leaned in and kissed him. Before Park Jungsu could capture her lips, Sora pulled back and said, “Of course, which is exactly why you should head back home. It’s not healthy to stay up late. Come on and put this back on and I’ll walk you to your car,” as she grabbed his shirt and placed it over his shoulders.
“Arasso…arasso…,” agreed Park Jungsu, giving in to Sora’s request. “But before we go down, you have to wear this on top,” he said as he placed his shirt back over her shoulders, “And, the way you’re dressing right now should be for my eyes only, arasso?”
Sora laughed as she found her Jungsu-oppa very cute with what he just said and agreed as she gave him a nod. Park Jungsu smiled back with relief and puts on his shoes while Sora wore her flip-flops down.
Their fingers were interlocking as they went downstairs to the parking lot. When they arrived in front of Park Jungsu’s car, he turned around to face Sora and gives her one last kiss on the lips for the night.
“I’ll call you tomorrow. Hurry and head back up. I’ll see you again soon,” Park Jungsu said with a loving smile.
She nodded and “Mmm…” was the only sound that came out as she waved and watched him drive off with the sound of his powerful engine resonating on the streets.
Sora looked up and saw Park Jungsu standing in front of her door with his hands in his back pockets. She was surprised to see him there at that time of hour and it was the first time that she's seen him wearing casually with a pair of jeans and a plain white tank-top under a blue linen checkered shirt.

Just wanted to say thank you to all my wonderful readers who enjoyed reading this DC Fanfic written by a novice like me. I hope you all like this chapter as I personally couldn't stop laughing at myself for writing such scenes in this chapter.
Please kindly let me know if my so-called "mature" scenes in this chapter are acceptable or not by leaving a comment. If not, then I will consider taking out these types of scenes from the upcoming chapters and posted them in some sort of epilogue or something as I know some PFDs out there are somewhat hungry for these type of scenes (I'm totally laughing as I'm typing this. *Shakes head*). Otherwise, if you're all okay with it, it'll save me the editing and posting time. ^^
Thanks again for reading,
