Chapter 21: Is It Me or Work?
Having being interrupted from their special moment, Park Jungsu was having trouble getting a good night's sleep as he tossed and turned in his bed. His mind was fully occupied by images of Sora's long sexy legs and the loose top she was wearing. He flashbacked to the intimate moment they had when they were passionately kissing in the living room, which could have led to something more.
He then got up from his bed and headed to the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror and said to himself, "Eh...Park Jungsu! You've got to take things slow. Just calm down and go back to sleep without thinking too much."
Suddenly, his eyes unconsciously turned their attention to the reflection of the glass shower in the mirror. At that moment, his imaginations ran wild as he imagined both Sora and him were passionately making love in the shower. He vigorously shook his head to kill off his fantasy running in his head. Although, he was able to stop his fantasy but his body was already boiling uncontrollably. He then turned on the tap from the sink in front of him and splashed cold water all over his face to cool down. He looked at himself in the mirror again with water trickling down his face to make sure he has really calmed down. He then took off his wet white tank top that was stuck to his chest and abs, and puts on another one.
After changing, Park Jungsu went to poured himself a glass of cold water and checked the time display on his fridge. It was 4:00 a.m. and he still hasn't gotten any sleep. He sighed and said to himself, "Kang Sora...what have you done to me? You have to take responsibility for messing up my sleeping time." He walked himself back to his bedroom and plumped back into his bed - giving it one last attempt to sleep before heading to his office in a few hours.
***
The next day at around 9:30 in the morning, Sora decided to drop by Park Jungsu's office before she heads over to her own. She arrived at Miranda's front desk.
"Good Morning Miranda, is President Park in his office? I would like to see him, please," said Sora.
"Oh! Good morning Kang Sora-ssi. Yes, the president should be upstairs in his office. Have you booked for an appointment though?" said Miranda.
"Mianhe, I didn't. Then I'll just schedule another time to see him then," replied Sora.
Miranda smiled and said, "No. No. Don't worry, he should be free for now. I asked just for the sake of asking, no worries."
Sora nodded with a smile and said, "Thank you and sorry to trouble you."
Miranda returned Sora a smile and said, "Here, let me take you upstairs." As Miranda got up, the phone on her desk started to ring. Miranda excused herself to pick up the phone. After knowing the caller on the other line, Miranda covered the receiver with hand and turned to Sora. She apologized and asked if she can go upstairs on her own to which Sora answered.
"Oh yes, of course. If that's alright with you, I can go up by myself,"
"Alright then, I'm very sorry. Please take the lift straight ahead on your left," said Miranda, who pointed over to the direct lift to Park Jungsu's office.
Sora went ahead and arrived on Park Jungsu's floor. Although it wasn't her first time here, but this time she took her time to have a better look on how his office floor looks like. With open-glass windows on each end of the corridors, allows great sunlight shining in on the already bright white marbled floor. She then walked up to and knocked on the two big doors of his office before she entered.
She stepped inside to find no one sitting at the desk and no one to greet her. She closed the door behind her and went towards the large floor-to-ceiling windows that offered the extensive city view of Seoul. She admired the view for a short moment before looking around for the owner of the office. She turned around and found a pair of sliding doors with two large self-portraits of Park Jungsu himself hung on each side of them that were slightly opened.
Sora went over to have a closer look. She gently slid the doors opened and found a resting area with a massaging chair by the window facing the city view and some leather sofas in the centre of the room. Suddenly, to her surprise, she found Park Jungsu laying on one of the leather sofas resting with one arm on his stomach and the other hanging off the sofa.
Sora tip-toed inside as she went up to Park Jungsu to have a better look. From the way he was sleeping, Sora knew he must have been really tired.
She saw his blazer freely laying on the armrest of another chair and walked over. She picked it up and placed it onto Park Jungsu to keep him warm. Afterwards, she took his hand that was hanging and gently tucked it under his blazer. Sora lightly stroked his hair, trying not to disturb him as she quietly watched him sleep.
As she stared at him, she couldn’t help but wonder how he can look so adorable even when asleep. Not wanting to disturb his sleep, she decided to leave but not before taking a snapshot of his sleeping form and giving him a peck on the cheek.
On her way out, she saw Miranda heading toward his office. She informed her about Jungsu and asked not to disturb him while he is asleep to give him more rest.
“Oh, I see. You’re such a sweet caring lady, Kang Sora-ssi. If nobody knew, they might think you’re his girlfriend,” Miranda remarked.
Sora was a bit startled by Miranda’s comment. It was true that not everyone knows of her relationship with Park Jungsu. “Well, I better get going now. I still have my own work to do at the office. See you later,” said Sora, trying not to make any feedback to Miranda’s statement.
Two hours later, Park Jungsu finally woke up from his nap. He rubbed his eyes while yawning on the sofa and saw his blazer over himself. “Hmm? I thought I put it on that chair…” he wondered to himself as he sat up. He rubbed his face again with his two hands and looked at his watch and saw the time was already 11:30 am.
As he was about to get up when Miranda walked in. “Ah President, you’re awake now. You must be really tired.”
“Yeah, I didn’t get much sleep last night,” said Park Jungsu as he straightened his shirt. “By the way, thanks for covering me with this, it was getting a bit cold,” he said lifting up his blazer.
Miranda looked at him with a smile “I’m sorry, President. But I think it was Kang Sora-ssi who put that on you. I mean no one else entered your office this morning other than Kang Sora-ssi.”
Park Jungsu paused and asked with surprise, “Jamkkanman…you mean Sora dropped by here earlier?”
“Yes. After she came out of your office, she asked me not to disturb you resting. Kang Sora-ssi is such a caring girl,” Miranda replied.
“Why didn’t you tell me that she was here to see me? What time did she come?” Park Jungsu asked anxiously.
Miranda on the other hand, was surprised by the way Park Jungsu reacted and apologized, “Mianhe, President. An urgent call came up when I was about to escort Kang Sora-ssi to your office. So I asked Kang Sora-ssi to see you in your office by herself. She came at around 9:30 in the morning.”
“Did she say why she was here?” Park Jungsu asked.
Miranda shook her head, “Aniya, she just said she wanted to see you.”
Park Jungsu sighed, having known that he missed her this morning and said, “I see…” He put on his blazer and told Miranda, “Miranda, next time if Sora is here, you let me know right away. Arasso?”
Miranda looked at him with a knowing smirk, “Eh….No way! There is absolutely no way!”
Park Jungsu looked at Miranda in confusion, “Wae? What’s wrong?”
“I should be the one asking you that question. Are you going out with Kang Sora-ssi, President?” Miranda probed carefully not wanting Mr. Park to think that she was prying with his private life.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he denied as he started to head out of his office.
Miranda followed right behind him while saying, “You are, aren’t you? I mean just a moment ago, you were disappointed when you heard she was here but left. Then, I have never heard you call Kang Sora-ssi by her first name before, until just now. And finally, you want to be informed right away the next time she comes here as if you don’t want to miss your chance to see her.”
Park Jungsu stopped walking and turned to Miranda. “Is it that obvious?” he asked anxiously.
“Well, given the way you reacted when you heard her came earlier today, I would have to say yes. It’s like all written on your face,” Miranda teased Park Jungsu.
Park Jungsu felt a bit shy and said, “Well, just keep this between you and me. And try not to make Sora embarrassed the next time she comes.”
“Arasso…arasso…, President,” said Miranda with a smile on her face. “By the way, are you coming back to the office later today, President?” Miranda asked Park Jungsu as he entered his private lift.
“Maybe…I’ll let you know later. Right now, I’m going to find myself a lunch date,” Park Jungsu replied happily as the lift doors were closing.
***
Back at Sora’s office, she was busy getting the last bit of preparations ready before the charity event happening at the end of the month. She looked at her desk clock and it was already lunch time. She looked at her phone, checking if there were any missed calls from someone. None. Not even a text. She pouted for a second and shortly afterwards decided to go get some fresh air while on her way out to get lunch. She took the handbag Park Jungsu gave her and headed towards the lift.
Inside the lift, she held up her handbag to her eye level and said while staring at it, “Aish! You should be awake by now! This is not fair, you know? You got me thinking about you and yet you don’t even call or text to say hello. You’re such a bad boyfriend, Park Jungsu!” Then she hits her handbag before walking out of the lift.
As she got to the lobby, she saw a familiar white Aston Martin parked outside near the roundabout. A man with shades leaned on the front hood of the car with his hands in his side pockets.
As Sora walked closer towards the main doors, she got a better view of who was waiting outside – Park Jungsu, the person whom she has been thinking of the entire morning. She kept herself calm and composed before she walked out the main doors, trying not to show too much of her happiness from seeing him.
The moment Park Jungsu saw Sora stepped out; he quickly took out his phone and dialed her number. He smirked as he held his phone to his ears – waiting for Sora to pick up. Sora picked up the phone from the other end as she looked at his direction.
“Yeopseo?” she said over the phone.
“Eh? Not even greeting me as ‘oppa’ when you see me?” he asked arrogantly.
“Wae? I don’t see you anywhere,” she said as she turned side to side – pretending not to have seen Park Jungsu.
“Clearly you saw me the moment you came out. I mean, who can possibly miss a good-looking guy like me with a nice car behind me?” he said to Sora over the phone while looking in her direction as he played along with her.
Just at the moment, three ladies were on their way out for lunch and they were staring helplessly at Park Jungsu as they passed by him. Park Jungsu looked at them with one of his killer smiles on his face, which got the ladies going crazy. He purposely did that to see how Sora would react. Apparently, it was a mistake to do so.
The moment Sora saw what just happened before her eyes, she said, “Ah yes, I can see that you’ve manage to catch some attentions. So, I guess I shouldn’t bother you right now then and leave you with them while I’ll be on my way. Have fun then. Goodbye.” Sora quickly ended the call as she began to walk away. Although the words that came out from her mouth didn’t seem like she mind, but her heart was clearly feeling sour from what she just witnessed.
“Sora-ah, jamkkanman! Sora-ah! Yeopseo? Yeopseo?” Park Jungsu cried out over the phone as he saw Sora walking away. He quickly got into his car, trying to go after Sora.
When he finally caught up with Sora in his car, he slowed down and slowly trailed along the road with his convertible top down.
"Sora-ah~" Park Jungsu called out her name, trying to get her attention.
Sora kept walking, ignoring Park Jungsu's call - to which he tried calling her name again louder, "Sora-ah~"
Sora finally answered to his call and said sarcastically, "Ne~Park Jungsu-ssi. Finished so soon with your ladies back there? Or are you going on to your next meeting?"
This time, Park Jungsu began to worry. He finally realized that he has stepped over the line as to flirting with the ladies passing by – in order to see whether Sora would get jealous or not.
"Aniya~ Aniya~Sora-ah, it's not like that. It's a misunderstanding..." Park Jungsu tried to explain, glancing back and forth between Sora and the road.
"Don't worry Park Jungsu-ssi, you don't have to explain," she said, not even sparing a glance at Park Jungsu.
"Sora-ah, are you mad?" he asked worriedly as he gripped his steering wheel tightly.
"Aniya~why would I be mad, Park Jungsu-ssi?" she replied, addressing him formally as she shook her head.
At this state, he knew that he better clears things up fast before the situation turns for the worst as she kept calling him "Park Jungsu-ssi" throughout their entire conversation.
Just then, he stepped on his gas paddle - making a roaring sound from the power of his engine as he sped up and pulled over in front on the side of the road. A light screeching sound was made from the sudden brake. Park Jungsu got out of his car and ran up to Sora to stop her. He tried to grab hold of her hand, but Sora brushed his hand away and kept walking.
"Sora-ah, mianhe. Please don't be like this. Can you just look at me?" he pleaded. Both struggled with each other with one wanting to grab on and the other wanting to let go. In the end, he quickly grabbed a firm hold of her and twirled her around as he captures her mouth with urgency in the middle of the street. His kiss was so intense that Sora felt like her lips were being devoured (by a starving wolf). She tried to resist by pounding her loosely held fists on Park Jungsu's chest. However, she was quickly defeated when he glazed his tongue over her two slightly swollen lips. As much as she wanted to refrain herself from responding to his caress, her mind and body were not in sync as she helplessly parted her lips - allowing Park Jungsu to make a sweet invasion inside her mouth. Both their tongues met with swirling motions, each caressing one another. Sora unconsciously let out a short moan of pleasure, to which Park Jungsu heard and swiftly intensified his kiss one last time before ending it with a softer one.
Park Jungsu slowly pulled his head back with his hands still cupping Sora’s face. He looked at her beautiful dark brown eyes with love and content all painted in his eyes. He lightly stroked her face with his thumb and said, “Mianhe Sora-ah~ I know it was very stupid of me to –”
Sora placed her hand over his mouth, silencing him and said, “Just bear in mind that you have a girlfriend now.”
Park Jungsu held her hand that was over his mouth and asked, “Does that mean you’re not mad at me anymore?”
“That depends…”
“Depends on what?” Park Jungsu asked with worry still apparent on his face.
Sora smirked and said, “It depends on whether you’ll treat me to a good lunch or not.”
Park Jungsu chuckled as he shook his head. “Arasso, arasso…So where would you like to have lunch, my Baby Princess?” he asked.
“You decide my Prince,” Sora said while laughing.
“Alright, gaja!” said Park Jungsu as he held Sora’s hand and led her to his car.
He opened the door for her like a gentleman and both settled themselves in their seats. As they began to fasten their seatbelts, Sora groaned and suddenly blurted out, “Oh, not again!”
Park Jungsu looked at her and laughed silently. “Sora-ah, do you need any help?” he asked, trying to contain his laughter while watching her struggle with the seatbelt.
“Aniya, I can handle this…” Sora replied, still struggling as she kept yanking and yanking the seatbelt. “Ugh…I swear, your car’s seatbelt is not in good terms with me.”
Park Jungsu chuckled and said, “Of course it’s not if you’re yanking it like that. You have to be gentle like this,” he leaned over and helped her with the seatbelt as he pulled it with ease. “See?” He looked at Sora with their faces a few inches apart.
“Yes, I see and thank you,” said Sora while staring closely at his face.
Park Jungsu grinned and slightly turned his head away with his right cheek facing her. Sora chuckled and gave Park Jungsu a quick peck on the cheek.
“Well, that does it!” he stated happily.
“Does what?” she asked, looking at him.
“I guess you’ll just have to give me a bbo-bbo here every time I help you with the seatbelt,” Park Jungsu said cheekily as he started his engine.
“Well if that’s the case, then I guess to be fair, I’ll have to give a bbo-bbo to whoever helps me with the seatbelt each time,” Sora said teasingly.
Park Jungsu quickly looked at her, “Aniya! No one can get a bbo-bbo from you other than me and only me alone.”
Sora laughed as she found Park Jungsu quite adorable whenever he’s annoyed. “I’m just kidding,” she reassured him as she reached out for his hand.
“Very well then, then let’s go! Chulbal~!” he said, interlocking their fingers as they drove off.
***
After their lunch together, Park Jungsu drove Sora back to her office. Inside the car, both were still interlocking fingers. Park Jungsu stared at Sora’s hand, not wanting to let go as he lightly stroked her hand with his thumb – feeling Sora’s smooth tenderly hand, while Sora shyly looked away with a smile.
“Sora-ah…” Park Jungsu called her name.
Sora turned to Park Jungsu and said, “Ne, oppa?”
He lifted his head to look at Sora and held her hand close to his heart. It took him a moment to say what he wanted to say. “Gomawo,” he said.
“Weoyo?” Sora asked, wondering why he is thanking her all of a sudden.
“Thank you for being you, Sora-ah,” Park Jungsu said.
“Eh? Oppa, why are you acting like this all of a sudden? It’s not like you to say something like that, at least for the duration of time that I’ve known you for,” Sora remarked.
“I’m thanking you because you brought back the feeling that I haven’t experienced for a long time and it is wonderful to get that feeling back,” replied Park Jungsu.
“The ‘feeling’…? And what kind of feeling is it?” Sora asked.
Park Jungsu uttered, “It’s…” Sora leaned forward to ensure she can hear clearly. He also leaned forward to the side of Sora’s ears and whispered, “It’s…a secret.” Then he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek before moving back to his seat.
“Eh!? Aniya! No fair! Tell me…” Sora complained.
Park Jungsu laughed and said with a smirk, “I’ll tell you next time. But now, it’s time for you to go back up. I’ll call you tonight, arasso?” He helped her unfastened her seatbelt.
“Arasso, then I’m going to head back up. Remember to rest when you’re tired,” said Sora as she opened the car door.
“I will so don’t worry. You take good care of yourself too, arasso?” said Park Jungsu.
Sora nodded in reply as she waved goodbye with her beautiful smile and Park Jungsu did the same.
***
Back at Sora’s office, everyone was busy at work with phone calls ringing all over the place. The moment Sora got out of the lift, she saw Melissa darting towards her and exclaimed, “Sora-ssi, thank goodness you’re back!”
“Waeyo? What’s wrong? Did something happen?” Sora asked.
“I just received a phone call from Takahashi-sama,” Melissa replied in a worried tone.
“You mean Takahashi-sama from Tokyo? Why did she call? Our meeting isn’t until the beginning of next month,” Sora remarked as she entered her office and sat down in her chair.
“That’s the problem. Apparently, Takahashi-sama will be quite busy with the new launch of her new subsidiary company beginning next week and she was wondering if you can meet with her tomorrow in Tokyo to discuss about the anniversary party for their regional office here in Seoul,” Melissa explained.
“Then what about General Manager Moon, will he be attending the meeting?” Sora asked.
“Aniya, I heard that he’s going to retire soon, so he’s busy doing the handover preparations to the new appointed GM and is finishing off the rest of the work for the regional office here,” Melissa replied.
Sora sighed and said, “Things just keeps popping up one after another, it’s overwhelming. I mean, we’ve got the charity event at the end of the week and now a sudden change of schedule for a meeting with another client.”
Melissa looked at Sora and said, “Do you want to pull out on this project?”
Sora quickly gave Melissa a What? look and said, “Of course not! That’ll be too unprofessional of me to do that. Besides, all the preparations are complete for Director Choi’s charity party this week, right?”
Melissa nodded to confirm. Sora looked at her calendar and said, “Alright Melissa, can you please help me book a flight to Tokyo for tomorrow morning? And did Takahashi-sama say how long can she meet for?”
“Well, she just mentioned that she only has time tomorrow to discuss the matter, so I guess the meeting will only last till the end of tomorrow. But then, will that even be enough time to discuss about the things that need to be discussed?” Melissa answered.
“I don’t think we have to worry about that since it’s not the first time we’ve worked with Takahashi-sama. From last time, she is a lady that gets straight to point and knows exactly what she wants. So I guess for tomorrow, it’ll just be a matter of making note of her preferences and requests,” Sora stated.
“True. By the way, do you want me to fly with you tomorrow? If not, then I can get more work done here,” Melissa asked.
“Arasso, if that’s the case then no worries. I think I can manage the trip by myself. You just stay and finish what you need to finish,” answered Sora.
“Alright then, I’ll go book the tickets for you. Oh and by the way, I almost forgot to tell you – you got a minor cut on your lower lip,” said Melissa with a knowing smirk as she made her way out.
Sora quickly grabbed a pocket mirror from her handbag to have a look. “Aish! Park Jungsu!” she groaned. “Why did you do it so aggressively?”
…Ten minutes later, Melissa entered into Sora’s office and informed her about the flight for tomorrow.
“Alright Sora, I’ve managed to book you a flight to Tokyo at ten in the morning, but…” said Melissa.
Sora looked at Melissa with a raised eyebrow and said, “But what?”
Melissa continued, “There isn’t a flight back for the following two days after tomorrow. So you’ll have to stay in Tokyo for three to four days before you can return to Seoul.”
“Are you serious?” Sora said with a sigh.
“Oh come on, Sora. Consider it as a short break for you. You’ve been running a lot of errands, so why don’t you just consider it a short holiday after your meeting with Takahashi-sama,” said Melissa.
“I guess I don't have a choice now, do I? Alright then, I’m going to go home and pack now since I’ll have to be at the airport at least two hours before departure time. So if there’s anything, just give me a call or contact me via e-mail,” said Sora as she packed up her belongings, ready to head out.
“Arasso, have a nice and safe flight then,”
***
After almost a month of confiscation, Sora managed to get her red Mercedes back and drove home herself. She missed the feeling behind the wheel.
When she arrived home, the first thing she did was take a nice hot shower. Then shortly after, she began to take out her luggage and was getting ready to pack until her phone rang. She went to see who was calling and saw the caller-ID, “My Arrogant Namja”. She smiled as she answered the call, “Yeopseo?”
“Sora-ah, you should greet me with ‘oppa’ instead of the usual ‘yeopseo’,” Park Jungsu whining like a child.
“Wae? But it’s polite and safe to say ‘yeopseo’ when answering the phone calls, so that you don’t disrespect those who call,” Sora defended, teasing with Park Jungsu.
“But you clearly know I am the one who is calling, it’s in your caller-ID,” Park Jungsu argued.
“Arasso, arasso,” said Sora.
Before Park Jungsu can say another word, the phone line suddenly got cut off.
Call Ended was shown on his iPhone’s screen. Sora had ended the call.
“Yah! Kang Sora! How dare you hang up on me for the second time today?” Park Jungsu said out loud to himself as he attempts to make the call again.
Before he can say anything when the call got connected, a familiar voice came from the other side of the line, “Oppa, annyeong.” His thoughts instantly vanished like thin air after hearing the soft sweet voice from the other side.
“Oppa? Oppa, are you there?” Sora called over the phone.
Just then, Park Jungsu finally snapped back to reality and answered, “Ne, ne?”
“Eh!...Oppa, are you going to ignore me if I greet you like that over the phone?” Sora asked.
“Aniya! I was just thinking of something. Anyways, I called your office just a moment ago and they said that you left work already. Are you not feeling well?” asked Park Jungsu.
Sora laughed over the phone and replied, “Do I look that weak to you?” Sora calmed herself and continued,” Aniya, I went home early so that I can pack.”
“Pack? Why are you packing? Where are you going?” he asked.
“I’m flying to Tokyo tomorrow morning,” Sora answered as she puts the call on speaker phone and folds her clothes into her luggage.
“Tokyo? Waeyo? For how long?” Park Jungsu asked like naggy person.
“It’s a business trip. I’m meeting my client there at her office and I’m going to be there for three to four days,” Sora replied.
“Three to four days!?” Park Jungsu cried over the phone.
Sora laughed by Park Jungsu’s reaction and said, “Oppa, calm down.”
“How can I calm down when I can’t see you for three to four days straight?” Park Jungsu complained as he plumped himself onto his bed.
Sora chuckled and asked, “Do you miss me that much, oppa?”
“Well, what do you think? Wouldn’t you miss me if you can't see me for three to four days straight?” he asked.
Sora replied teasingly, "Hmm, that didn’t come to my mind before until you just mentioned it. I was only thinking about how to get my work done with the limited time I have." The last statement was true; she's always been trying to prove to others that she is capable of doing her job even if her father is the chairman.
"So you mean work is more important to you than me?" he asked, putting Sora into a corner.
Sora stopped her packing and said, "Oh come on, oppa. Must you ask me such question?"
"Of course, so is it me or your work?" he frankly asked.
"Do I really have to answer this question?" Sora asked.
Park Jungsu began to fiddle around with his shirt and said, "Yes, of course you have to."
"Do you really want the truth?" she asked with a smirk as she laid herself down on her bed.
"Ne...so tell me now and end my sorrows," he said eagerly.
Sora laughed on the other line. "Alright, here’s my answer..." She waited a few seconds before continuing. "…It's a secret." She gave him the exact same answer he had given her earlier today.
Park Jungsu sat up from his bed and complained, "Eh!? You can't do that. That wasn't even a proper answer."
"Well I’m glad you know it's not a proper answer. So now, we’re even," Sora laughingly said.
However, knowing Park Jungsu wouldn’t be satisfied with her answer, she then followed up by saying, “I’ll tell you the real answer later when I come back, arasso?”
Park Jungsu then lay back on his bed and asked, “Arasso, so what time are you flying there tomorrow?”
“My flight’s at ten in the morning,” Sora replied as she stood back up to finish up her packing.
“I’ll come over in the morning and drive you to the airport,” Park Jungsu offered.
Sora let out a hearty laugh and said, “That’s very sweet of you, oppa. But there’s no need to make such a trip here. Besides, I think you need more rest, so it’s better to use that time to catch up on some sleep. Though you look very adorable when you’re asleep,” she murmured the last sentence to herself, recalling the scene when he was sleeping on the sofa.
“Wae? But I want to see you before you fly off,” he explained.
“You’ll see me when I get back, oppa,” she replied as she zipped up her luggage and placed it beside her wardrobe. “Alright oppa, I think it’s time for both you and me to get some rest. Goodnight.”
“Andwae, Sora-ah~ Jamkkanman,” Park Jungsu refused to end the call right away.
“Wha~ ish~ it, oppa?” she asked while yawning. She grabbed one of her yellow duck cushion that was on her bed and wrapped her arms around it.
“I just wanted to say…saranghae,” Park Jungsu said over the phone. He waited for her response, but the only response he got was mere silence. “Sora-ah…?” he said and then heard a quiet yet audible heavy breathing sound from the other side of the phone.
He chuckled from what he heard and shook his head. “Goodnight, my Baby Princess,” he said softly over the phone. He dimmed the lights to his bedroom and continued listening to the way Sora was sleeping like a sweet lullaby to his ears. Soon, they both fell asleep.
***
The next morning, Sora took the taxi to the Incheon International Airport and went to check in at the counter.
"Miss Kang, here's your boarding pass. This is your seat number in the business class cabin by the window seat and you'll have to arrive at gate number 25 before the boarding time at 9:35. In the meantime, please feel free to visit our executive lounge on the third floor while you're waiting. Is there anything else I can help you with?" said the airline agent.
"I'm okay, thanks," Sora replied as she took her passport and boarding pass and headed to the executive lounge get some breakfast.
While enjoying her breakfast, her phone suddenly rang to which she wasn't surprised by the caller at all.
"Good morning, oppa," she said when she answered the call.
"Morning. Have you arrived at the airport yet?" Park Jungsu asked over the phone.
"Ne, I've checked in already. I'm just having breakfast now. Why aren't you getting a bit more sleep?" Sora replied.
"Because my mind is constantly thinking about someone and all I can do right now is just talk to her on the phone," he explained.
"Aww, you poor thing. But I'm sure that someone will miss you when she's away," she said, letting him know that she's thinking about him too.
"Does she now? If that's the case, perhaps she should consider not boarding the plane then or else something might happen," he teasingly said.
Sora chuckled and said, "Well, and what would that something be? You're going to see someone else?"
"That’s a good idea, but I was thinking about something more unimaginable," replied Park Jungsu.
"Hmmm...then I'll look forward to what that unimaginable something is when I return from my trip," said Sora as she took a sip from her coffee.
"Oh, then I should start preparing now then," he said with a playful voice.
Sora laughed at how cute Park Jungsu was acting and then said, "Alright oppa, I need to get ready and head over to my boarding gate. I'll call you when I arrived in Tokyo."
"Leaving so soon? I still want to talk," Park Jungsu whined.
"Oppa, stop whining like a baby. We'll talk more later," Sora replied.
Park Jungsu complied and said, "Fine, we'll talk later. I'll see you soon then."
"Arasso. I love you," Sora said over the phone, which brought a smile to Park Jungsu's face on the other end of the phone.
"I love you more," he replied before they both ended the call.
"We are asking our passengers flying in first and business class to board now. Please prepare your boarding pass and passport for boarding. Thank you," the attendant announced.
Sora got her things ready and boarded the plane. One of the cabin crew escorted her to where her to where her assigned seat was. "Welcome aboard Miss Kang and it is pleasant to see you again. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to let us know. Enjoy your flight," greeted one of the cabin crew responsible for the first and business class cabin.
Sora smiled and thanked the attendant. She settled herself in her seat and looked out the small window. Once she got comfortable, she took out her phone to check some emails before take-off. As she was doing so, a message popped up and it was a picture of Park Jungsu with the tip of his hand over his mouth like someone blowing a kiss. The picture brought a smile to Sora's face and in return she sends him a message saying:
Sora: YOU'RE MAKING ME MISS YOU EVEN MORE NOW, OPPA.
Park Jungsu: THAT'S GOOD. I’LL SEE YOU SOON AND ENJOY YOUR FLIGHT.
Sora: ARASSO. ANNYEONG!
After exchanging messages with each other, Sora continued going through her emails until it was almost time for departure. Then, about five minutes before take-off, she stowed away her things and put on her headphones for some music. She closed her eyes, intending to get some rest. She didn’t know she was tired to the extent that she fell asleep instantly, disregarding everything that was happening around her.
As the plane was about to take off, the flight attendants were going through a final round check to make sure everyone’s seated and has fastened their seatbelts. When they got to Sora’s section, they noticed she hasn’t fastened her seatbelt yet and wanted to let her know. However, a gentleman sitting in the seat next to Sora saw how tired she looked and decided to help her fasten the seatbelt. The flight attendant thanked the gentleman for helping out and soon the plane took off while Sora was in her slumber.
Just fifteen minutes into the take-off, Sora was sound asleep that she didn’t noticed that her head unknowingly rested on the gentleman’s shoulder who was sitting in the seat next to her. She snuggled a bit closer as if she was laying her on pillow at home. Sora was so close that she could smell the fresh cologne the gentleman was wearing. The scent was so calming that she felt like her stress and worries were all behind her. But suddenly, the situation finally hit her. She remembered that she was on a two-hour flight to Tokyo and that she should be sleeping in her seat, but how can she smell such scent on the plane if she was in her own seat?
Sora’s eyes quickly opened while her head was still resting on the gentleman’s shoulders. She thought to herself: “Oh God! What are you doing Kang Sora? How could you fall asleep on someone’s shoulders when you have this wide seat to yourself already? This is so embarrassing! Oh dear! I hope I didn’t drool or make a fool out of myself. Ottoke, I need to get off this person’s shoulders now! But how am I supposed to do that without making an awkward scene? Omo! If Park Jungsu saw me like this, he’s going to throw a fit. Alright Kang Sora, you just slowly turn your head the other way as if you’re switching positions. Try to do this as naturally as possible.”
Sora shut her eyes tight, pretending she was still sleeping but she didn’t notice that her eyes were so tight that it furrowed between her eyebrows. “Here goes!” she said to herself before she made the move. She finally got her head to the other side, her head facing the window with her eyes still unnaturally closed.
“So you’re finally awake? You must be really tired for you to snore like that. That’s why I told you to stay in Seoul,” said the man next to her.
“Oh God! How embarrassing? I even snored! Wait a second! That voice…how come it sounds familiar?” Sora thought to herself. She quickly opened her eyes and looked at the man who was sitting next to her.
“Omo! What are you doing here?” she asked in shock with her jaw dropped open.
Sitting next to her was Park Jungsu who was busy reading a magazine introducing the city of Tokyo.
He shrugged as he continued to flip through the pages and simply said. “I’m flying to Tokyo,”
“I know that since you’re on this plane, but my question is why?” Sora asked.
“Why? You’re really asking me why?” he questioned back at her and added, “If I didn’t board this plane, then you’re going to lay your head on someone else’s shoulders. You think I’d let that happen?” He put down the magazine and turned his gaze at Sora.
“It-it was just an accident. I was just too tired!” Sora explained.
Park Jungsu looked at Sora for a few more second and then said, “Well if you’re tired then you should rest more.” He placed her head back on his shoulders as he continued going through his magazine. “I told you I’d see you soon,”
A sweet smile formed on Sora’s face. “Yes, but I didn’t think it’d be so soon. Don’t you have to work? Can you just leave your office like that?”
Park Jungsu smiled and laid his head on Sora’s. “Of course I can. I am the President and CEO after all. Besides, I haven’t taken a break for a long time, so I may as well take a few days off rather than burry myself with work and not being able to see you for a few days,” he explained.
Sora lifted her head from his shoulders to look at him. “Oppa, but still…I’m here to work.”
Park Jungsu snorted and said, “I asked Melissa already. She said that your client can only meet you for today and you’ll have about two to three days to spare after that.”
“Oh that Melissa! How can she tell him my schedule like that?” Sora mumbled to herself. “Yes, but I still need to do the preparations afterwards,” she explained to Park Jungsu.
Park Jungsu gave Sora an intense look and asked, “So you’d rather work than spend time with me?”
Sora quickly answered, “That’s not what I mean.”
“Good then. So we’ll do something fun in Tokyo after you finish your meeting. Now go back to sleep and we’ll arrive soon before you know it,” said Park Jungsu who pulled Sora close to him and placed her head back on his shoulder.
Sora rested on Park Jungsu’s shoulders and held onto his hand. Park Jungsu happily responded and interlocked fingers with her.
Once they’ve arrived at the Narita International Airport, they went through immigration and customs and got all their belongings.
When they got outside, Sora looked at her bookings and said to Park Jungsu, “Alright oppa, let me know where you want to meet later so that we can have dinner together before we go back to our own hotels.”
“What do you mean ‘our own hotels’? You’re going to stay at the same hotel as me,” Park Jungsu stated like it was the most obvious thing.
“What!? Same hotel!?” Sora exclaimed in shock.
“Yes, same hotel. You’d think I’d let us stay in separate hotels? Besides, I got Melissa to cancel your reservation at your hotel and told her that I’ll take care of your accommodation while you’re here,” Park Jungsu answered with a deadpan look on his face.
“Yah! Park Jungsu! You can’t do that, that’s totally unacceptable!” Sora argued.
“Well, I just did and it would be a bit difficult to find a decent hotel with a vacant room right now. So it’s up to you. You can choose to either stay with me or you’ll be out on the streets with just your luggage here,” said Park Jungsu mischievously while placing his hand on Sora’s luggage.
Sora gave Park Jungsu a disbelieving look.
"What? I'm just saying. So what's it going to be?" he asked with a huge smile on his face.
"Are we taking the taxi to your hotel?" Sora asked.
"Nope, my driver should be arriving soon," Park Jungsu said.
"Your driver? You have a driver here?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, I have an office here since I run an entertainment agency; we need to respond the global market so I have a few offices around East Asia. Ah, there he is," Park Jungsu explained, waving to his driver - signaling him over.
Sora was surprisingly impressed by Park Jungsu's achievements in the industry.
"Come on, Sora-ah," said Park Jungsu, opening the door for her while his driver took care of their baggage. “Watch your head.”
Both settled themselves inside the car. Before Sora can take care of the seatbelt herself, Park Jungsu had already fastened it for her.
"That didn't count!" Sora argued, looking at Park Jungsu.
"Hmm? What didn't count?" said Park Jungsu, who was clueless.
"You know exactly what I mean. So you can forget about the bbo-bbo," said Sora.
"Ah...so you were thinking about giving me a bbo-bbo? I wasn't even thinking about that until you mentioned it. Are you that desperate to give it to me?" Park Jungsu said with a cheeky smile.
Sora's face was flushed with redness. She couldn't believe that it was the first thing that came to her mind when he helped her fastened the seatbelt.
Park Jungsu grinned and asked, "Well, I’m ready when you are." He looked at her with his finger pointing to his cheek.
Sora quickly turned away, trying to avoid eye contact. Park Jungsu smiled, finding this flirting fun and then said, “Oh by the way, we’ll be staying in the same room.”
Sora instantly turned around while saying “Same roo~” But before she can complete her sentence, Park Jungsu had already leaned close to her and seized her lips with his.
Both their lips locked together. Park Jungsu had Sora’s lower lips between his and could feel Sora reciprocating to his kiss. The kiss lasted just a short moment until they broke apart with the both of them gazing into each other’s eyes.
Park Jungsu smirked and went close to Sora’s ears and whispered, “You still owe me another kiss from the plane.”
“From the plane?” asked Sora, who was clueless at the moment.
“Yup! While you were sound asleep, you forgot to fasten your seatbelt on the plane before take-off. So I helped you with it and don’t think of backing out as I’ve got a witness to prove it,” said Park Jungsu, who was settling back into his seat and put on his sunglasses.
“Aish!” Sora mumbled as she held her fists together. She turned to give Park Jungsu a daring stare and said, “You’re very sly, you know that?”
Park Jungsu looked at Sora and smirked. “Am I now? But I think you love it when I’m sly,” he said with a big grin.
Sora blushed and said, “In that case, I’m not going to stay in the same room as you.”
“Why not?” he asked, looking at her with his shades on.
“Because I think it’s rather dangerous if I slept in the same room with someone as sly as you,” said Sora.
Park Jungsu smirked and confidently asked, “If you’re not going to stay with me, where else are you going to stay?”
Sora smiled and said, “Well, actually I have a cousin who lives here and I can just stay with her at her place.”
Park Jungsu’s jaw dropped open and was speechless for a few seconds. Sora saw the look on his face and thought she caught him this time. Park Jungsu remained dismayed for a few seconds and then Sora began to notice the corners of his lips began to levitate until his left dimple started to appear.
“You mean Hye-jin-ssi?” said Park Jungsu with a full grin on his face.
Sora was dumbfounded and asked, “How did you know my cousin’s name?” She gasped and said, “Don’t tell me that Melissa told you this as well.”
Park Jungsu looked away with his fingers lightly tapping over his lips with a smile.
“Aish! That Melissa! What is she doing? Telling you all these personal things of mine,” Sora groaned to herself.
Park Jungsu laughed and said, “It’s wasn’t Melissa. It was eomoni who told me and said that your cousin is actually out of town.”
“You mean my omma told you? Aish! Jjinja! Whose side is she on, really?” Sora complained.
“Well, so I guess you have no choice but to stay with me. Oh and don’t worry Sora-ah, I won’t bite,” he said with a leering look on his face.
“Aish! Jjinja!” Sora groaned and settled herself back into her seat with her arms crossed. “Unbelievable!”
Park Jungsu, on the other hand, laid his head on the seat’s headrest and enjoyed the landscape outside while smiling joyfully.
***
After about two hours on the road from the airport, they’ve finally arrived at their hotel. The valet and the hotel staff greeted them at the main entrance of the building while Park Jungsu’s driver and the hotel’s bellboy helped with the baggage.
Sora was stunned by the décor of the hotel as they entered inside and heading towards the front-desk counter. Although, she’s been to Tokyo a few times and stayed at different hotels, but it was her first time to encounter such grand looking hotel.
“Good morning, Mr. Park. Welcome back,” greeted the front-desk manager.
Park Jungsu smiled and said while taking off his sunglasses, “Good morning. It’s nice to be back.”
“So how long will you be staying with us this time, Mr. Park?” asked the manager.
“Around two to three days,” Park Jungsu replied.
“Ah, why don’t you stay with us a bit longer?” the manager jokingly asked.
“Well, I’m just here for a short break,” answered Park Jungsu.
The manager glanced at Sora and then said, “Oh I see. A short break with your friend…Miss Kang, correct?” while searching for their reservation on the monitor.
“Girlfriend, to be exact,” corrected Park Jungsu.
Sora elbowed Park Jungsu and said to the manager, “Friend is fine.”
The manager laughed and said, “Alright then, so according to our records, Mr. Park you have reserved a~”
“Excuse me, sorry. I was wondering if you have any more rooms still available.” Sora asked, cutting the manager off in the middle.
The manager was stunned by her sudden interruption while Park Jungsu protested, “Yah, Sora-ah! What are you doing?”
“I’m seeing if there’s another room, so I don’t have to stay with you in the same room,” Sora said to Park Jungsu.
The manager felt a bit embarrassed from the situation and said, “Please hold on a second, Miss Kang. Let me help you check.”
“No problem, take your time and thanks,” said Sora with a smile.
The manager glanced at Park Jungsu and saw that he’s looking at him, giving him a look that says, “Don’t offer any rooms to her”.
The manager quickly looked away from Park Jungsu. He smiled at Sora and said, “I am very regretful to say this, Miss Kang. But unfortunately, our hotel is currently fully booked right now and there are no more rooms available.”
“Are you serious? Please check again. I’ll take anything, even if it’s a Presidential Suite!” Sora asked desperately.
“I’m very sorry, Miss Kang. But even the last Presidential Suite has been booked by Mr. Park here,” the manager replied.
Park Jungsu, who was standing on the side, chuckled. He stood next to Sora and said, “See Sora-ah? You heard him; he said there are no more rooms available.”
Sora had no choice but to accept the arrangements. The manager finished inputting the rest of their information and handed them their hotel keys.
“Our hotel staff here will escort you to your suite. Enjoy your stay with us,” the manager thanked them and bowed.
“We will, thank you,” said Park Jungsu who gave the manager a wink.
The manager in return gave Park Jungsu an okay sign with his hand and mouthed, “No problem.”
When they finally arrived at their Presidential Suite, Sora was amazed at how large the room was. The size of the room was large enough to fit two to three families with amazing cityscape views. The suite had several areas like an open kitchen, an office, a conference room, a living room and such. It also had a walk-out terrace with a private pool outside where you can access from both the living room and the bedroom. The size of the bedroom was like an average flat size in Seoul and the bathroom suite was as big as her living room at home.
“How much did you pay for this Presidential Suite?” Sora asked while her eyes were still roaming around the suite.
“That, you don’t need to worry about,” Park Jungsu replied. He walked over to her from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Do you like it?” he asked.
Sora smiled while she placed her hands on his arms and said, “It’s acceptable, not too bad.”
“That’s good,” Park Jungsu said, kissing Sora on the cheeks.
“But…” Sora said slowly as she loosens herself from his embrace. “The king-sized bed is all mine, called it!” she said loudly while running towards her grand prize.
“Oh no, it’s not!” Park Jungsu cried out, following behind her.
Sora flopped onto the king-sized bed and turned around facing up. She saw Park Jungsu charging towards her, to which he pounced onto her, leaving her squealing. With his two arms holding him up on the bed, he gazed into her eyes while she did the same and both were breathing heavily. Park Jungsu panted like he just came back from an intense exercise. It took him a few seconds to calm his breathing while gazing at Sora. He tugged Sora’s hair behind her ear and then caressed her face with his finger.
Park Jungsu leaned down with his chest close to hers and softly said, “You still owe me a kiss,” as stared deeply into Sora’s eyes.
“Do I now? Should I give it to you now then?” Sora asked seductively as she traced her fingers on his face, caressing him.
“Mmhmm…” sounded Park Jungsu as he leaned closer until their faces were a few inches apart.
Park Jungsu began to slowly close his eyes, ready for Sora’s kiss. Sora saw the desperate look on Park Jungsu’s face and began to cup his face with her hands – gradually pulling him closer. However, she was trying very hard not to burst out in laughter. She pulled him closer and closer until they both can feel each other’s breathing. When they were only an inch apart, Sora just gave him a quick peck on the lips.
She quickly slipped away from his reach and hurried into the bathroom and said, “I need to freshen up before meeting my client.”
Her quick escape left Park Jungsu alone on the bed. He held his stance for moment before letting out a sigh of disappointment.
“Arasso…” Park Jungsu said helplessly as he rubbed his face with his hand and laid flat on the bed while hearing the running water inside the bathroom suite. “Yah! Park Jungsu! You need to take things slow remember? You can’t just pounce onto her like that even though you’re desperate to have her.” he said to himself while sitting up from the bed and looking at himself in the mirror on the wall.
Meanwhile Sora was still in the bathroom taking a shower, Park Jungsu began to pace around the bedroom and at the same time saying to himself, “God Sora-ah~ How long are you going to make me wait like this? Maybe this isn’t such a good idea to stay in the same room. Oh come on, Park Jungsu! You can’t be wuss now. You just need to control yourself. Just pretend you’re not interested. Just don’t think about it. ”
Just as he was almost able to calm himself, the door to the bathroom suddenly clicked. It was the sound of the door being unlocked. Park Jungsu’s attention suddenly turns towards the bathroom door as he watches the door open. The next thing he saw was Sora walking out from the bathroom with a bathrobe on while drying her long dark brown hair.
She had her wet hair to one side of her shoulder. Her hair was long that it rested slightly above her chest. Park Jungsu gulped while staring at her, without blinking an eye. He tried to look away, but was unable to as his eyes were just strongly glued onto Sora. Although the bathrobe was able to cover Sora’s whole body, but it didn’t stop Park Jungsu from fantasying how her bare body would look like without the robe. He had to moisten his lips as they were getting dry and he not only could feel his body temperature rising but also another part of him as well.
“Are you alright, oppa?” asked Sora as she saw him looking at her absentminded.
Park Jungsu staggered and said, “Aniya, I mean yes. Umm…I think I should take a shower too! I smell like the plane!” He took off his shirt, showing his fully toned body while charging straight into the bathroom without making any eye contact with Sora and closed the bathroom door shut behind him.
Sora managed to get a glimpse of his upper body. Though it wasn’t the first time that she’d seen him bare chested, but this time she could fully see the contours and lines on his chest and abdominals. She turned around and saw herself in the mirror – her cheeks were blushing.
“Omo! What’s happening? Why are they all red?” Sora embarrassingly said to herself. “Just hurry and change, Kang Sora!” Sora then went off to get ready.
At the same time, Park Jungsu was in the bathroom, standing under the running shower. Water was flowing down from above as he placed two his hands on the marble wall.
“God damn it, Park Jungsu! She was just wearing a bathrobe, a normal white bathrobe! You can’t get aroused that easily! You’re a man and should be able to control yourself!” he ranted to himself in the shower.
“Oppa!” Sora cried out while knocking on the other side of the door.
Park Jungsu turned off the shower after hearing her call. “Ne?” answered loudly while stepping out of the shower.
“I’m going to head out now. I’ll call you in a bit, alright?” said Sora.
Park Jungsu wrapped a towel around his waist and opened the bathroom door. “What did you say?” he asked.
Sora was standing right in front of him. “HOT!” was all she can think of from looking at him. She saw water still trickling down from his face and body. She could see his broad firm chest and his nice pack of abs. The fresh scent of the soap had already stirred up her desire for him, but what turned her on even more was the hairline running down below his navel, leading to somewhere unimaginable.
“Sora-ah, are you alright? Your face is all red,” Park Jungsu asked as he held her face.
Sora quickly turned away, avoiding herself from losing control. “Yeah! I’m fine.”
“You sure?” asked Park Jungsu, who was making sure.
“Yes. Well I’m gonna go now. I have to meet my client in twenty minutes. I’ll call you later, arasso?” said Sora.
As she was about to make her way out, Park Jungsu grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him and kissed her with his hand cupping her face.
He slowly pulled back and said softly while gazing into her eyes, “Don’t take too long, arasso?”
“I need to go now. Bye!” Sora said very quickly as she darted out the door with her things.
Park Jungsu chuckled as he watched Sora hurried out the suite.
Sora continuously pushed the elevator button. “Come on! Come on! Why is it not coming up?” she said anxiously. As she waited for the elevator to come up, she knew she was in trouble. Never had she felt this turned on by anyone before, not to the extent that she just wants to push him down on the bed with water still dribbling down his hot sexy body and just make love with him.
“Oh my God, Sora! Told you it was a bad idea to share the same room with him. God! His body was hot! What are you doing, Kang Sora? You’re on your way to meet your client and all you can think about is his sexy body?” Sora argued to herself as she shook off her sensual thoughts.
***
Sora finally met up with her client, Takahashi-sama.
“Hello Sora-sama, I apologize for making such a sudden request to have you fly all the way here to meet me,” said Takahashi-sama as soon as she saw Sora.
“No worries, I know you’ve been running on a busy schedule. So I hope I can help you lessen your worries regarding your company’s anniversary party at the end of the year.
“Thank you for your understanding, Sora-sama. I know I can trust you on this. Shall we begin then?” her client said.
“Sure, of course,” answered Sora.
So the both of them and Takahashi-sama’s assistants began their meeting in the conference room at her client’s company building and went for a long while. They discussed about not only the anniversary party for the company but also about a farewell retirement party for General Manager Moon.
Takahashi-sama was not only a well-respected lady in her industry, but she also cared a lot for her employees, treating each one like family. She believed that they are part of her family that helps drive her company to a long road of success in the business. Without them, her company wouldn’t have come this far and the party is just a small part of their rewards as she plans on giving them all a year-end bonus.
After almost talking for over five hours, the meeting took a short fifteen-minute break. Sora took this time to call Park Jungsu.
RING! RING!
“What took you so long to call?” Park Jungsu asked as soon as he picked up the phone.
“I’m sorry, oppa. The meeting took longer than I anticipated,” Sora apologized.
“Are you done with it now?” he asked.
“Aniya, mianhe, oppa. The meeting might take another hour or so to finish,” answered Sora.
“What!? Another hour? That means your meeting won’t end till nine tonight!” Park Jungsu cried over the phone.
“Mianhe, oppa! Please understand, my client can only meet for today, so we must get the most important things done first,” Sora explained.
Park Jungsu sighed and said upsettingly, “That means I won’t see you until a lot later tonight…”
“Just for tonight, oppa. Mianhe,” Sora said, trying to console her oppa.
“Aish…Where are you exactly?” Park Jungsu asked.
“I’m at the TKH Company building. Why?” Sora replied.
“I’m coming to pick you up at nine-thirty sharp after you’re done! So don’t be late!” said Park Jungsu and ended the call.
“What!? Yeopseo? Oppa! Yeopseo?” Sora cried over the phone and then saw Call Ended on her screen. “Aish! Jjinja!”
“Sora-sama! We’re ready to continue the meeting,” one of Takahashi-sama’s assistant called out.
“Coming!” said Sora as she walked back to the conference room.
As she sat down, Takahashi-sama saw the frustrated look on her face and asked, “Sora-sama, is everything alright?”
Sora looked up and said, “Huh? Oh, it’s nothing. I just had a talk on the phone with my boyfriend, that’s all.”
“Everything okay between you two?” she asked.
“Yeah, he’s insisting to come pick me up after our meeting,” Sora explained.
“Oh, so he’s Japanese?” asked Takahashi-sama.
Sora laughed and said, “No, he’s Korean. It’s just that he flew here with me. He took a few days off from work.”
“Really? Awe! That’s very sweet of him. You must be a really lucky girl to have such a boyfriend who is willing to take a few days off just to be with you,” envied Takahashi-sama.
Sora smiled and said, “You think so, Takahashi-sama? Well, he is a sweet guy even though he can be arrogant at times.”
Takahashi-sama laughed and reassured Sora, “Of course! Oh how I wish I can turn back to the times when me and my late husband were spending time together and enjoying our lives together.”
“Oh dear, I’m sorry for bringing this up,” Sora apologized.
Takahashi-sama laughed and held onto Sora’s hand, “Don’t be silly, Sora-sama. There’s no need to apologize. But just understand this. Although it’s important to work hard in life, but never forget to take time to spend with the ones you love. Look at me for example, even though I worked really hard to get to this position in my career, but I actually had to sacrifice a very important thing in my life and that was my time with my late husband. I mean, he came from a rather highly respected and wealthy family and his family had always disapproved our relationship together. Because of this, I told myself that I needed to work hard to prove to them that I am worthy of my late husband’s love and to have his family to approve and respected me. But looking back now, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have to care about what others thinks and whether I am worthy of my late husband’s love was not up to his family or anyone else to decide, but was up to my husband himself only. But by the time I understand this, it’s already too late as he passed away already from an illness. So don’t work yourself too hard, Sora-sama and cherish your time with your boyfriend, especially when he’s willing to sacrifice work to spend time with you. So let’s hurry and finish up our meeting tonight, okay?”
Sora never thought that a well-respected and independent woman such as Takahashi-sama would have such a pass. She was right, that life was not all about working towards the top but is about cherishing and enjoying the time you have with the ones you love. Sora smiled and thanked Takahashi-sama, “Thank you, Takahashi-sama. Then let’s fighting together!” Sora held up her fist as she was saying it.
“Figh…ting?” Takahashi-sama asked, unaware of what Sora meant.
“Oh! Pardon me, Takahashi-sama. Fighting means ganbatte kudasai,” Sora explained.
“Ah! I see. Alright then, fighting!” Takahashi-sama said to Sora with a smile.
Finally, the meeting was finished half-an-hour earlier than expected.
Takahashi-sama thanked Sora for her time and asked Sora to contact her secretary if there are any problems with the party while she’s gone. Both went down the lobby together in the lift.
As they arrived at the lobby, Park Jungsu was already waiting outside. Sora saw him waiting and said, “Omo! Why is he here so early?”
Takahashi-sama heard Sora and asked, “Is that him?”
“Yes, but he said he was going to be here at nine-thirty though. He’s like almost an hour early,” Sora replied.
Takahashi-sama chuckled and said, “By the looks of it, I think he waited longer than that. He must care for you a lot to have waited this long. Don’t let him slip away.”
They walked out of the building and Park Jungsu walked towards them and gave Takahashi-sama a bow of respect.
“Hello there, you must be Sora-sama’s boyfriend, am I right? I am Takahashi Yukiko,” Takahashi-sama asked.
Park Jungsu nodded and said, “Hai, watashi-wa Park Jungsu desu. Hajimemashite (Yes, I am Park Jungsu. Nice to meet you).”
Both Sora and Takahashi-sama were surprised at how fluent Park Jungsu’s Japanese was.
“Wow, you’re quite fluent. If I hadn’t known, I would think you’re a local,” Takahashi-sama complimented.
Park Jungsu smiled and thanked Takahashi-sama, “Thank you. I need to know a bit of Japanese since I have a few offices here in Japan.”
Takahashi-sama turned to Sora, “You’ve caught yourself a big one, Sora-sama. He must be a really successful man to even have a few offices here.” She then turned to both Sora and Park Jungsu and said, “Sora-sama, so are you flying back to Seoul tomorrow?”
Sora turned to Takahashi-sama and said, “No, unfortunately all the flights flying back to Seoul in the next few days are all full. So I’ll be staying for another two to three days.”
“Oh, so a short break together? Have you got any plans to visit around Tokyo?” Takahashi-sama asked.
Before Sora could answer no, Park Jungsu answered, “We’re planning to visit an osen here in Japan. Heard it’s a good way for busy people like us to relax and rejuvenate ourselves.”
“Ah, that is a good idea. It must be really tiring for Sora-sama to fly here on such short notice. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience,” said Takahashi-sama.
“No, please don’t say that Takahashi-sama. It’s a pleasure to work with you again. I’m fine, really,” Sora replied.
Takahashi-sama smiled and an idea came to her mind. “You know what, Sora-sama? In appreciation for your effort and time to come here on such short notice, why don’t you and Park Jungsu-san visit one of my osen resorts in Hakone? It has a great view and you both can enjoy your time there as my courtesy to you.”
Sora shook her hands and said, “No, no, it’s really okay. That’s too much. Thank—”
“We will kindly accept, Takahashi-sama. I’m sure it’ll be a great pleasure to visit one of your osen resorts in Hakone, thank you.” Park Jungsu accepted Takahashi-sama’s offer while Sora looked dumbfound by what he just did.
“Very well then, I’ll have someone drive you both there tomorrow. Will that be okay?” offered Takahashi-sama.
“That’ll be fine. Thank you very much,” Park Jungsu bowed and thanked Takahashi-sama.
“Alright then, well it’s getting late and I need to get going as I am flying to Osaka tomorrow. And both of you should get going too and I’ll have someone pick you both up at your hotel tomorrow,” said Takahashi-sama as bid them goodbye.
Both Sora and Park Jungsu bowed their heads. “Thank you very much, Takahashi-sama. Have a safe and pleasant flight,” said Sora.
Just before Takahashi-sama left, she reminded Sora of what she said earlier and wished her all the best in both her career and relationship.
***
After a long day, Sora and Park Jungsu finally returned to their hotel. Sora entered the room first while rubbing her neck with her hand to relieve the stiffness in her muscles. She sat on the L-shaped sofa and massaged her own neck.
Park Jungsu saw and walked up to Sora. He placed his hands on her shoulders and took over, helping her massage the tension away from her muscles.
“Mmmm,” Sora moaned as she felt the stiffness gradually wearing off.
“Your shoulders are too stiff. You shouldn’t push yourself too hard, Sora-ah,” Park Jungsu said as he continued massaging her neck. “Is this pressure okay?” he asked.
“Mmhmm…Oppa, you’re really good at this. It feels really good,” complimented Sora as she moves her head to one side.
“Jjinja?” Park Jungsu asked as he massages the bare side of her neck. “I can do this every night for you if you want,” he offered.
Sora laughed and said, “Even if I wanted to, I can’t have you always come over just to give me a massage. Ah! That’s the spot.”
Park Jungsu smiled and suggested, “Well, if you move in with me then that wouldn’t be a problem now would it?”
Sora turned around, astounded by what Park Jungsu had just suggested. “I think I’d better go take a shower now,” Sora said right away.
She tried to get up from the sofa, but Park Jungsu pulled her back down – laying Sora flat on her back on the sofa.
Park Jungsu looked into Sora’s eyes. He caressed her face with the back of his fingers and then lightly touched her pink lips. He gulped, trying to control his urge and said softly, “Sora-ah, I’m probably taking this a bit too quickly. But I just want to let you know that I’m serious about you and that I love you very much even though we’ve only known each other for about two months. So I’ll give you as much time as you need to think about moving in with me. But promise me that you will seriously think about this, arasso?”
Sora saw the sincerity in Park Jungsu’s eyes and felt touched by his confession. It was true that their relationship was moving rather quickly given they’ve only started officially dating for not even a month. But she enjoyed their time together and also their little flirting with each other. Sora didn’t mind taking a step further, “but is it the right time to take things to the next level so soon,” she thought to herself. Since, he was willing to give her time to think about it, it shows that he cares and respects her. Sora placed her hand on his face and stroked it with her thumb as she nodded smiling at him. “Arasso~”
Park Jungsu smiled and leaned down to give her a soft kiss on the forehead. He then said to her, “Although I’m willing to wait, don’t make me wait too long. I don’t know how long I can control myself for, arasso? Now, go take a shower and get a good night’s sleep. You take the bed and I’ll take this sofa.”
Park Jungsu then got off from the sofa. As he was about to go inside the bedroom to get a pillow and a blanket for himself, Sora called out, “Oppa…” He turned around. “Gomawo,” she said with a sincere smile on her face.
He smiled back and announced, “Now hurry and take a shower.”

Thank you everyone for being extremely patient with me. It's been very busy for me at work and I rarely have time to work on this fanfic. When I do, it's usually after my working hours when my head's not really working anymore. LOL
So, perhaps you might find some parts/scenes not making sense, BUT I would like to take this time to sincerely thank my LLT *POKE* @PlayerKBD for taking time to help me edit this chapter and gave me useful tips for writing. Also, my thanks go out to @writingjust4u for giving me encouragement. GOMAWO ^^ *HUGS TO U BOTH*
I hope everyone will enjoy this chapter while I go work on the next one. ^^ Just to give a heads up to my dear readers. The next chapter will most likely be RATED. Please kindly bear with me as I have no experience in writing such scenes. ^^ Hopefully, I don't flunk on the next chapter. *GRIN*
Feel free to leave comments and let me know where I can improve in terms of my writing even though I received a lot of helpful ones from my LLT. ^^
Again, thanks for reading and supporting my fanfic. Have a nice day everyone! Love you all. ^^
